The research group on nonparametric statistics in Universidade da Coruña organizes the International Seminar on Nonparametric Inference (ISNI 2005) that will take place in A Coruña during July 13-15 th, 2005 .

This meeting will focus on the main trends in a broad number of fields in nonparametric statistics. This includes, amon g many others, bootstrap, curve estimation, empirical likelihood, estimation under shape constraints, functional data, model checking, spatial statistics, survey sampling, survival analysis and time series. Real data applications of these techniques to other fields like biology, environmental issues, genomics, financial data, medicine and the industry are welcome.

The aim of ISNI 2005 is to facilitate the exchange of research ideas and to promote collaboration among researchers in the field. The program will include oral invited talks and contributed papers (in poster sessions).
